Your inbox, already sorted when you open it.
Echelon Inbox is a fast, keyboard-first Mac client for Gmail. AI files every new email as it arrives, clears out the noise, sums up long threads and drafts replies, but never sends anything without you.
Contract redlines for Thursday
Dana sent revised terms with two changes to the payment schedule. She needs your sign-off on clause 7 before Thursday's call.
Hi Dana, thanks for turning these around so fast. Clause 7 works for us as written…
Less sorting. More replying.
The AI does the triage you'd otherwise do by hand, and shows its work in Gmail labels you can see everywhere.
Triage, even while you're offline
New mail is labeled within seconds of arriving: Needs Reply, Waiting On, FYI, Receipt and more. It runs in the cloud, so your inbox is sorted even when your laptop is shut.
Noise archives itself
Turn on auto-archive and newsletters, receipts, notifications and marketing leave your inbox, but only when the model is very sure. Anything that might need you stays.
One-click thread summaries
A long back-and-forth becomes three sentences at the top of the thread. Summaries are saved, so they're there the next time you open it.
Drafts you approve
Tell it what you want to say, and it writes the reply in your voice as a real Gmail draft. Edit it, send it with ⌘↵, or delete it. It never sends on its own.
Your own tags
Add a tag like "Board" or "Hiring" with a sentence about what belongs in it. The AI files mail there alongside the built-in tags, and each tag becomes a Gmail label.
Search by meaning
Type ai: and ask for "the invoice dispute with the printer" instead of guessing keywords. Normal Gmail search operators work too.
You decide how much it does
Pick a triage mode in Settings. Change it any time.
Just a fast mail client
No AI triage. Summaries and drafts are still there when you ask.
Sort, don't move
Every new email gets a tag. Nothing leaves your inbox.
Clear the clutter
Also archives the newsletters, receipts and marketing it's very confident about.
Built on Gmail, not on top of a copy of it
Echelon Inbox doesn't keep its own mailbox. Tags are Gmail labels, drafts are Gmail drafts, and archive means archive. Whatever the AI does shows up in Gmail on the web and on your phone.
- Works with personal Gmail and Google Workspace
- Switch between several Google accounts
- Insert Google Drive links; contacts autocomplete
- Undo is just Gmail: move it back, remove the label
Bring your own model
Triage and summaries run on Cloudflare Workers AI with nothing to set up. For drafting replies, use Workers AI or plug in any OpenAI-compatible provider and model you like.
How it works
A small cloud service sits next to your Gmail account, so triage keeps working when the app is closed.
- You sign in with GoogleYour access token is encrypted at rest and used only to work on your mailbox.
- Gmail notifies the serviceEach time new mail lands, Google pushes a notification. No polling.
- The AI files itIt reads the email, picks a tag, and archives it only if you allowed that.
- The app updates liveYour open inbox refreshes on its own. So do Gmail web and mobile.
